An ongoing digital exploration inspired by Rosemaling, a technique local to Norway which has been used to decorate everyday objects since the 1700s. My granddad knew this technique but I unfortunately never got the opportunity to learn it directly from him. This collection is therefore in honor of him.
Although Rosemaling contains several different styles from different areas of Norway, it can all be recognized by the iconic C- and S-based shapes, and most often symmetrical designs.
