[ee-dah hey] — the visual artist, illustrator, designer, 2D animator, and muralist behind Ida Hay Art. I create with a passion for bold, maximalist designs infused with colour, mysticism, and storytelling.
I’m a multidisciplinary design witch — equal parts boss priestess and playful rule-breaker — shaping bold, eclectic, character-filled visuals for trailblazing brands, artists, and rebels. My work blends handcrafted artistry, expressive storytelling, and striking contrast, with a deep respect for creativity, authenticity, fearless expression, and transformation.
With my likely tetrachromatic vision, colour isn’t just a tool. It’s my superpower. I work with strong linework and rich narrative, drawing from Scandinavian heritage and folding it into a modern, magical sensibility. Think Art Nouveau meeting rebellious expression, somewhere between Pippi Longstocking and the Addams Family, with a trace of mysticism and vintage soul.
My practice spans branding, packaging, murals, illustration, animation and more, but the thread running through it all is transformation. I turn ideas into immersive, memorable experiences, guided by history, divination, and the art of storytelling.
